Howdy fellas,
A while back my brother and I watched what we think was a False Widow catching a beetle that flew straight into her(?) web. As the beetle struggled to break free I assume she injected venom into it while wrapping it up, and just a minute or so after, the beetle began to secrete a black, almost ink like liquid from its mouth. I tried researching what it could have been but didn't find much help. I wonder if it's either an effect from the venom or a survival mechanism, for whatever good it would have been worth, Let me know what you think, a few example pictures are provided.
Also tell me what you know about spider or beetle.
