I have a mature female A. Hentzi that had it's enclosure knocked off a five foot drop from a shelving unit by my pigeon. I don't know when this happened as I just noticed it now, but leg R2 is leaking hemolymph from the femur-partella joint. Other than that she appears mostly undamaged but I am certainly worried about this spider as it is one of my personal favorites. Is there anything I can do to help her out or do I have to wait it out?

All legs appear to work except for the damaged one, it is curled up against her and she drags it around. I can tell all pressure has been lost. The leaking seems to have subsided but it is beaded up in a goldeny colored droplet on the joint.

I have also provided her with extra water to replace the lost fluids.

All pressure has been lost because the t has closed off the joint basically. Provided there wasn't any internal damage, the leg shouldn't provide much of an issue. The t will self amputate and it should be fine.

Pigeon sandwich anyone?

It will probably want a drink.

Thank you for the quick reply! I do not believe there are any internal damages but only time will tell.

I am certainly not happy with "Berlin Airlift" the pigeon, and will keep him on cage lockdown until I can find a way to prevent this from happening again. Worst part is he knows he's not allowed anywhere near the cages.

Don't worry I did exactly that. I know the best solution is usually letting the spider do what it does. I was just wondering if there was some sort of procedure to follow because this hasn't happened to me in the 3 years I've been in the hobby.
+1.

Also Berlin Airlift is a great name for a pigeon.
Hahah thank you.I saved him from drowning in the ocean a month or two ago and he's a very big sweetheart.
