I havent
No where near enough photo's of these on the internet
Got a mix of sexes and instars, not that hard when i have around 50
Plunked them into their new set up already, and they started webbing straight away
And here's their set up, thats not how much they've webbed since putting in, i just chucked the webbed twigs from the transport tub in together
i was only keeping stegodyphus dufouri, but poeple i know were keeping your species.
everyone started with 15 up spiders...but no one was having keeping succes !
it seems to be very important to have a very good ventilation ! maybe your ventilation-openings are too small...
and give them really a lot of food ! unbeliveable how much this little spiders can (must) eat.
:?Thanks
The majority of the lid i used the mesh, they all rest up against the little mesh sidepanels aswell. They cant climb the plastic so a lot of the time i just leave the lid off. I havent fed them yet, i figured they'd need a couple of days to settle in and create their web, i saw them all building it last night, was an amazing sight.
I am really worried about all the breeding failures i am hearing about. Im sure someone in the UK has had a colony breeding for quite a while. Where is everyone failing?
Is it the extreme m/f ratio?
I have 2 adult males and i think i have a couple more sub adult males, next to the 40 odd females. It puzzels me how someone can breed mantids or tarantula's yet when you have a truely communal species like this no one can breed
