so since my leopard gecko laid its eggs a few days ago, i have been looking for a incubator. right now they are in a home made incubator, which is a plastic bin with holes drilled into it and peat moss thats moist. the temps are 80 degrees without heat sources so i need a incubator. does anyone know where i can get one in the eastern pennsylvania area?

sorry if this is posted in the wrong section i wasnt sure where i should put it.

thanks in advance

One of the most economical incubators is the hova-bators. I have 8 of them in use, and have great success. Check any farm supply store, or Tractor Supply Co. They are designed for chicks but work great for herps.

The thermostat is set up a little different on the Little Giant, might be a different type thermostat all together, but other than that the setup looks the same as a hova bator. I'm using a hovabator this year, but I'm gonna convert a stand up freezer into an incubator for next years eggs.

There is a HOVA-BATOR on Ebay auction right now that ends in 5 hours.

There are also other incubators on Ebay for sale. As for the Little Giant, I have two I keep running all the time with the temp set at 80F incase I have eggs pop up when my big unit is not already running and warmed up.
I've hatched out lizards, turtles and snakes in them but don't get the fan addition if you get one. The heat of the fan motor alone heats them to 90F in a room that is 75F.

You can make one quite easily out of a styrofoam cooler and a fish tank heater.
