The sink is actually an integral part of the picture. It is not used and the spider appears to have made his way up the drain.

Around these parts with our gray water an open pipe draining into the detritus near the river I try to avoid looking into sinks and the bathtub early in the mornings. No freak out yells for help from the bathroom and we're good.

If I go do some serious digging in the rock, rubble or detritus it's almost a certainty. Had one roaming in the downstairs bathroom a while ago. Not sure if it came up the drain or just wandered in under a door. Funny. My wife gets futrious if I don't immediately leap to remove them. Ironically she acts just like them. Zooming around, POed max and spoiling for a fight.
