So I went into the woods today to look for some pseudoscorpions, which I found none sadly, but I was able to find some other interesting critters.

I don't really know what they are, all I know are the basics. So if anyone can identify these that would be cool, otherwise, here are some blurry pics, lol.

I think these two are Jerusalem crickets, but I am not sure. Sorry for the bad pics, taken through a deli container.

Here are most of the others, in the wood I found a few interesting critters, all less than half an inch from the woods here in PA. Anyway, I think there are a few click beatles, two centipedes, several millipedes, tiny land snails, and pill bugs, not sure what else made it in either, lol.

I tried for a close up, came out blurry though.

Thanks for the ID Dude, they seemed really hardy, so I was going to see if I could breed them. These are much larger than the "large" crix at the petstore. I found them in parts of the loose bark, 3 actually, but one got away. Those beatles were EVERYWHERE as well, dozens of them within the bark layer, in fact there is currently one sitting on my ceiling from when I opened the container to get some pics, lol. As for feeding them, I was going to try for my scorpions, I know my emps would love those guys....not so sure about the flat rock or C. vitts. though, lol.

Hey vFox, I was just wondering what part of PA you're collecting in? I too live in the keystone state and if you wanted to see something cool, we could meet up and I'll bring my black lighting setup. Generator and all!

If I had a setup like that I would be out probably once a week looking for critters. Most of what we have around here seems to only come out at night, and some are rediculously rare. Oddly enough, cockroaches are pretty uncommon in general around my neck of the woods, I've only ever seen a handful at most in the wild.

Click beetles not long horns.
I figured that one out after poking one I thought was dead and "click" it's back on its feet, lol. Thanks for the correction none-the-less. Now I just need to figure out how to get the one off my ceiling (been there two days now) without killing it. He is wedged in a crack pretty well, I'll probably just have my ADD kick in and forget about him though. Meh.

I got a few questions about my setup, so I just wanted to put up a better picture of it quick indoors. The ammo can houses the ballast, which is mounted to the bottom. Also, vFox.... I'm going to IM you in just a minute here, so heads up! :)

Looks like someone is handy with the wire splicing tool, lol. Seriously though, that's a great lamp setup, I'm envious. Btw, PM returned. :D

lol thats a cool set-up i will have to change mine to that, i only have the ballists that are cut so there smaller (w/o hurting the "guts") and covering up the sides (thats my 1000wtt) my 400 is just laid over side ways (gotta fix that i have had tomany schorched fingers this yeat) and a 175 that doesnt have the dome on it. do you use de-zapped bug zappers or just the mercs??
