Okay so I'm completely bummed. I am SO crazy about my cat Mya. Shes the one I found on my porch that I've been posting pictures of? I love her to death but I am SO ready to get rid of her. Shes peeing on my bed!
She uses the litter box religiously but lately, when I get home, if I dont go to see her within the first 3 minutes of being home, she'll pee on my bed. I took her to the vets to ensure that it wasnt anything medical and its not, shes just mad that I left her. FINE so I've made it a point to go and see her as soon as I get home and spend a few minutes with her. Last night she peed on my bed anyway ARGH!! I am SO friggin sick of washing my comforter.

I dont want to get rid of Mya, I really wanted to keep her for the rest of her life, I'm completely in love with that silly cat but I can't keep an animal that pees on things. I just cant deal with that.

Mya is staying in my room because the dogs wont leave her alone and the other cats beat her up lol. So thats why shes locked in my room. She has PLENTY of play room though and i even got her a cat tree that shes obsessed with.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can try? My patience with her is about to run out..

i am having kinda the same situation.
My sister, girlfriend, and I all share a place. We have 2 cats and the lady cat likes to go into my sister's room and leave her a wet surprise. It has happened about 5 times since we have had her.I have no clue why she does it. She(sis) now has to result in shutting her door at all times.

I think there is a product that you can buy, and cats do not find the smell pleasant. Spray the product where you don't want the cat to go, and it won't go there(supposedly)

Goodluck

Cats, when they feel abandon or mistreated (in their opinion, not saying that you will do that) will often act out in ways that they know will get them attention. Also, have you cleaned your bedding? What did you clean it with? Try using an enzamatic cleaner to get the amonia out. While you may not smell the pee anymore, the cats still can in most cases, so she will think it's ok to go there again.
I hope that helps! Good luck and I hope you don't have to get rid of your kitty!

This is product with some sort of pheromone in it that stopped them from marking. Even if that isn't the cause, it's worth a try. Could it be that she doesn't like the litter? Did you try a different one? Maybe she doesn't want to to share it with the other cats? I am just thinking of things that can cause it.
My male had a tendency to pee in my bed if my daughter didn't clean the litter box. In my case, I did find a home for him and his sister. I had to buy a new mattress because he wouldn't stop. But this will lead me to a discussion about teaching teenagers responsibility and I don't want to go there right now.
I hope you can find the root of the problem, and fix it. Is she spayed?
Feliway is one product that is supposed to work. I bought a similar spray in a pet store, and bought the plugin Feliway. It helped for a while, but not when the litter box was full. Good luck.

Yes Mya is spayed. Its not the litter box, I clean it every night. She ONLY pees when I first get home.
This cat has pretty much broken me so I dont have the money to spend on random items hoping they work.

Annie, the other cat, doesnt come in the room. She freaks if shes out of the living room for some reason. I cant let Mya stay in the living room either because the other cats have a large open bowl of food thats always full and Mya will eat until she throws up (probably from being starved for so long).

I'm going to try kitty dragging and just drag her along, where ever I go in the house. She has a harness and leash so if the dogs freak her out, shes within catching distance.

My fiance isnt too happy with the situation either =(. I've spent WAY too much on her and her peeing is just royally pissing Alex off =(.

I'm going to give the dragging her along thing a go though.

i don't blame him

i had a couple of friends who's cat (or sister's cat) didn't like them and would pee on their beds. i think that would happen once, maybe twice to me and the cat would learn a lesson the very hard way... but that's besides the point.

maybe since it happens ONLY when you first get home, you could try putting something over your bed until you get ready to go to bed. i like the idea of a plastic sheet (which is VERY inexpensive). just put it on before you leave, and rip it off right before bed.

I was going to suggest the plastic sheet. Cats aren't supposed to like that, nor sticky things, maybe you can teach her going on the bed is only for when you are there, give her a pillow/pile of blankets elsewhere in the room to snuggle on without you, and then it won't happen.

found this link, that looked promising, maybe it will help you!

Had this problem with cat peeing on couch. I added an extra cat box downstairs and he stopped. I have catbox on 1st and second floor and basement.

I would first suggest to lock the cat in a tile bathroom or kitchen where it couldn't do much damage. There are dog diapers at pet shops now, not sure if they are cheap or if they even work. Cats have a way of getting stuff off their bodies. With diapers the cat would soil itself and you'd have the issue of changing the diaper. Might not work, definitely wouldn't be easy! I couldn't put a collar on mine and expect it to be there in an hour. I feel your problem, I couldn't really stand that either.

Put her in the bathroom when your gone. Or outside, keep food out there and she will stick around. Is she spayed?
