NOOOOOOO!!!! I'm Canadian and live in British Columbia. The owner was recently raided from Arachnophiliacs. He was keeping Ts and reptiles in unsafe and substandard conditions. Over 1500 of his inverts were confiscated and euthanized. Just terrible. I deal with 780 arachnids. He's amazing, but won't ship out of Edmonton during winter months. Otherwise, Tarantula Canada is the way to go.

What is 780 arachnids? Never heard of them or seen them at expos.

Arachnophiliacs got banned from expos from what I heard.

Yep! I will never trust that guy who owns Arachnophiliacs again. And you can find 780 arachnids on instagram. His name is Austin. He has a decent following of people on there. Really reputable and knowledgeable guy. If he delivered out of Edmonton year round, I'd deal with him exclusively.

No worries!! Chances are if you had, you would have paid and never recieved anything. Or ended up with a very sick invert.

How is tangled in webs

I haven't placed an order with them before, but with inquires, they seem very professional. I follow their social media and for some time orders couldn't be placed, but they are taking orders now from what I gather from their social media. Any reviews I've seen on them have looked positive.

Hey guys. so now I'm confused if Arachnophiliacs is trustworthy to buy from, because you guys seem to be pretty anti them. And someone said they were banned from expos; but here it says they'll be at the 2020 April expo.

My knowledge up to this point is he was banned from expos. Maybe that decision has expired or perhaps he's not banned form all of them? I'm honestly not 100% on that. I do know, however, that when he was raided in I believe April (I could have that wrong), most if not all of his inverts were seized and destroyed. An astounding number of his reptiles were as well. Before the raid, he was selling customers very unwell inverts and reptiles, which I guess was partly what raised red flags. He was allegedly also accepting payment without sending the customer their purchase. Not sure if that part is true. I for one wouldn't chance it for a second. Many other reputable breeders in Canada who care for their animals.

I know Arachnophiliacs was banned from the Alberta expos in 2019 and I think in part of 2018 due to breaking some rules, you can read an entire long arguing thread on the Alberta reptile society facebook page if you dig deep enough (unless it was removed).
