I just ordered my 1st GBB!!!!!! I'm getting it from Kenthebugguy.com (who is an excellent online dealer, I might add)

I should be seeing my beauty on Tuesday morning. I'm so excited I might puke.

I'm also getting a Cyriocosmus elegans.

Ahhh...Tuesday can't come soon enough!

I know what you mean, I should be getting a 6in female A.genic tomorrow. :D
  yay for you!!! I have a 1in A. genic in premolt right now. They are TONS of fun. And as I'm sure you've hear, they eat like horses. Their hunting method is awesome too. If Pokies are the snipers of the T world, A. genic's are the tanks.

The worst part is when that time comes around and you start peeking threw your blinds like a paranoid crackhead looking for the delivery truck. {D

Actually...the worst part is that I get them shipped to my work. So I get to be the paraniod crack-head looking out the window every 5 seconds with my fellow co-workers as an audience to my bizzare behavior. They are all pretty used to it by now though...

That is me whenever anything comes in the mail. I didn't get to act like that for my shipment because I'm never there to sign for it, but you better believe I was speeding home when I was told it arrived.

Try doing when Fedex comes first then ups and then fedex again. That was kind of a stressfull day. The really sad part was we were waiting for the usps to arrive.

Today's the day, and I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival. They are coming from Kenthebugguy.com, so I know they'll be in good shape, and packed well. I just want them to be here NOW. I'm glued to the window like some kind of suction cup garfield. <--------- That's my face against the window.

Anyone else getting newbs today?

LOL - I can certainly empathize! You remind me of me, sort of ... I got my first T shipped from Ken the Bug Guy - I was a basket case - I couldn't imagine shipping a live creature like that in the mail - I had it shipped to my business address so it wouldn't sit unattended at my home address, then worried that it might arrive at my business address on Saturday and sit unattended through the weekend. I let myself be tormented by a million "what ifs?" I must have driven KTBG crazy with my "Is it really gonna be okay? Will it really get here on time?" emails.

Of course it did arrive, on time, and in perfect condition.

Enjoy the anticipation, as excruciating as it may be! :D

p.s. I'm still a total wuss about having Ts shipped - no reflection on KTBG, who is great (I actually met him at the L.A. Natural History Museum Bug Fair in May), but I discovered another great supplier, Paul Becker, who is local, so I pick them up myself - in fact, I'm headed down to his place this weekend to get my first L. parahybana. :}

GBB was my first sling, and unfortunately i had to work the day they came in. My husband was kind enough to stay home that morning and wait for the delivery, but managed to fall asleep on the couch, and missed it!!! Luckily my boss let me leave to go get them- i drove two towns over in the pouring rain to pick them up before the post office closed. I

Those are two great choices, imo. They're two of my favourites. Give us an update when they arrive.

They all arrived this morning and are looking great! In addition to the GBB, and the C. elegans, my "surprise grab bag" included:

P. irminia sling
B. smithi sling
Euathlus sp blue sling

Super sweet! Ken totally rocks too! He even included a little heat pack so my babies wouldn't get cold on thier trip into the Rocky Mountains. He always packs them super tight and secure. Thank You Ken!!!!!

Awesome!!!!! Sweet selection too. Glad to hear they arrived safely and you're enjoying them.

I'll be joining you Thursday. Ordered 3 GBB's from Paul Becker, and he is great!!! When he asked if I wanted that P. irminia freebie, I mentioned that I already had one, so he threw me a P. cambridgei juvie as a substitution. Now it's my turn to wait......like some kind of paranoid tweaker peeking out from the drapes every 5 minutes. {D

What's really bad, is my neighbor just finished putting together this R/C semi-truck (one of those high-end realistic models). Since he's retired, he is out playing with it quite a bit. It looks nice, but the stupid thing sounds like a real truck going by. Thursday morning is going to be hell on my nerves. ("Is it here??? Nope...just the neighbor.")

KURO! Stop tempting me some more! {D

Okay, if YOU insist, I'll check it out ... although I must admit, still being quite a bit of a newbie, I don't know anything about Klugis, and the thought of getting one never crossed my mind ... until you came along :embarrassed: Dang, not to get one now would seem disrespectful, wouldn't it? {D {D {D
