Are you sure it never comes out? It might be moving around late at night when everything's been quiet for a while. Where do you keep it? Is it kept somewhere with a lot of traffic? If it's anything like the snakes I've kept in the past it won't come out very often if there's a lot of movement through the area. What are your temps and humidity like? It may just be uncomfortable in the cage. It's been probably 10 years or so since I had a BP but the one I had didn't move a lot until I got the cage heat and humidity set up perfectly. How many hides do you have, and what's the cage like etc. Sometimes ball pythons can be very shy. I see mine all the time though, unless he's going into shed.

Its a Ball Python. Thats what they do. ;)
