Hi,
Today in the second attempt to breed the Selenotypus plumipes "north form", I thought I'd video the outcome, the first time went very well, this time, well, you watch. The male of this species is the "dwarf male" of the species from a recent article I did, he's a trooper.

This video is really interesting because of the time the camera decided to lose power, no kidding, I didn't do this, the camera packed it in then and there!!! I know the quality is bad, but it's worth it in the drama alone

I would have put this in the video post, but there's more to this one then just the vid

Anyway, guess what happened next???

Hi,
She pounced on him hard, but did not bite, or even rupture him with her tarsal claws. I was able to get a teaspoon in between them and he is fine, 100%, just a little shaken I have two mature males of this species here and a third one on the way, so I have plenty of them, but he was valuable anyway, he was raised from the eggsac.

Not with the right paperwork and approvals Almost impossible, but not quite (which is why you haven't seen any before )
