Idk what im getting myself into! its the start of a plant addiction

so today i ordered some more seeds when the first 3 packets of seeds i bought havent even sprouted yet, i was a little annoyed they only lived like a year and then die. so i ordered 2 more sunflowers that are perennial and not annual.
i ordered 1 packet of helianthus laetiflorus seeds and 1 packet of helianthus maximiliani. my entire back yard which is pretty big might soon be covered with sunflowers!

Though, if you do find yourself craving some houseplants, I can steer you to some good sites as I'm recently addicted to those.. lol

I love sunflowers though, do you roast and salt the seeds or just enjoy the flowers?

An inexpensive source of sunflower seed is the local feed store (sometimes the food market too). Just buy a bag of sunflower seed that is sold for bird feeders. If you want the really big sunflowers you buy the striped seed. If you want the smaller ones you buy the black seed. You can plant an entire average-sized yard with one bag of seed for a couple of dollars.

I used to buy seeds on Ebay. Cycads, cactus, ...a lot of other cool plant seeds you can find there.

i think it happened to be helianthus laetiflorus. thats the cheerful sunflower right? if so then thats what i had.

your absolutly right about bonsai. there beautiful plants. (unless its a plant thats not taken care of well enough).

right now i have juniper bonsai, jade bonsai, and some others.

i also raise cacti and bamboo.

Stay away from orchids....if you think you are addicted now, don't go to an orchid store or else you'll be in real trouble. Speaking of which..I need to get some grow lights here soon....
