So the I. mira has been out for two days in a row. Suspected female- much larger and thicker than the other one that had molted out to MM earlier this year. I don't see boxing gloves or the curve on the front legs either. Abdomen looks pretty plump..

Is she out and 'ready' for a male or..?

Also- she is way bigger than I realized. Only saw it fully out once before when 'she' was much smaller. Needs to be rehoused. Will an oblong tall container at 8-1/2" x 4-1/4" x 8-3/4" h be good as permanent enclosure?

They do come out from time to time. She might just be looking for a meal. That sounds like a decent size enclosure for her. Just fill it with lots of sub and a nice cork mostly buried it will give her something to build against. She will probably make her hide next to the cork and wall of the enclosure. Take pics when she’s out because it’s rare for you to see her.

Container size is fine. I keep my AF in something smaller, and she's been thriving.

Mine comes out for days to weeks at a time, can't predict it, nor does it predict gender. Get a molt, and sex it.
