Identify these eggs

Found these eggs on an apple twig, overwintering in Chicago, IL. Can you identify them? Each egg is 3/16 inch in length.

I am??? AWESOME! lol I'm not gonna lie, I just learned in class a few days before seeing that post how katydids lay eggs so I assumed they were the most likely suspect. I googled katydid eggs too to make sure I was right.
