she was sold as a singapore blue ...just curious if that is her true species because she has cobalt features.... in this pic she has freshly molted, she has red hairs that cant be seen in the pics and her underside is a reddish color.

Could be an A. Seemani, it is not in any way a singapore blue though.

Someone either lied or had no idea what they were talking about. Definitely not an L. violaceopes and not a H. lividum either.

Yeah, not violaceopes or lividum.

If you can, try and relabel those pictures so people don't run searches and think that's what L. violaceopes looks like.

If it was sold to you as a Singapore Blue, then you got ripped off and I would go back to the seller and ask for a price adjustment at the very least.

It looks like it has urticating hairs. Definitely looks seemani-ish. It's nothing old world, regardless.

Good Luck!

VERY pretty A. seemanni! I've heard of these coming in a bunch of colors, from a drab brown with tan stripes, to black with white stripes, to blue with white stripes. Looks like you got one of the bluish ones here.

That is a nice seemani, it looks recently molted. Can we assume that the date on your camera wasn't set up and the pic wasn't really taken in 2004?

FYI there is (according to who you ask) a blue phase A. seemani which really just looks black until you hit it with a flashlight. It's possible this is how the species got mixed up as a Sing Blue. In any case, the two species couldn't be much more different. If you paid sing-blue prices somebody owes you some money.

Aphonopelma seemanni... for sure. I've had a few of these in the past. Yours looks fairly young too. Very nice T.
