Had these beetles for a whial now and cant figure out what they are i caught them at night attracted to my murcery vapor lamp and they seem to like bananas

any ideas?

Are they a type of dung beetle?

i dont think it is, a dung beetle wouldnt eat bananas would it?

They eat dung from any animal, whether it eats vegeatables, meat, or both. Mabye it is hungry and desperate for food??? Mabye someone else can tell you what it is.

dung from hoofed mammals (horses, cows, etc.) is the best...
