it almost looks like a sowbug killer but the fangs don't look quite massive enough. i believe they can kind of tuck 'em back, though

look up Dysdera species.

my local species is Dysdera crocata

edit:
whoops i misread the post you responded to the Trachelas sp.
looks much more like that than a Dysie

That's a Trachelas sp., or "Ground Sac Spider". Some of these have been known to have "medically significant" venom, so be careful with it. It is definately NOT a Kukulcania hibernalis, as the whole shape of the "face" area is completely different.

Pitbulllady is correct in that it's definitely a Trachelas tranquillas. They are mildly medically significant. From what I've read, their habit of feeding on already-dead arthropods means they often carry bacteria on their chelicera/ fangs that can cause infections in humans. I kept one last year, and it was a blast. I had a gravid female, and she was SUPER defensive of her eggsac! They actually give T-style threat displays! She would rear up, bare fangs, and strike like a cobra! She was a good feeder too, not timid about taking prey near her own size, so if you can find these I recommend them as enjoyable hobby spiders.

i have her now in and enclosure and trying to get her in there was a pain.
i was trying to scoot her with a paint brush and she kept attacking it so i took a safer aproche and used a small tube and just layed the tube in the enclousre with her in there and the lid off the tube.
i put a roach nymph in there to see what would happen and she bit it and in 30 seconds the roach was dead...
