ID this weelbug

this guy landed on my winshield while i was driving and held on at 45 for about 5 miles till i got home. i picked him up and took some pics and got him in a jar. any ideas as to what sp. it is.

That looks like some type of leaf footed bug. They usually suck plant juices, rather than guts like a wheel bug.

Definitely a leaf-footed/legged bug. Theyre in the Reduviidae family, but theyre not assassin bugs. Wheel bugs are Arilus cristatus (single species with the cog wheel-shaped feature on its back)...
