My best guess would be Brachypelma albopilosum?
I'm not too good at ID's tho.

Off the top of my head I would guess maybe a Grammostola, maybe G. grossa?

It is not B. albopilosum, or any Brachypelma, not with that mirror patch.

Hobby Grammostola grossa from Uruguay. That site from Uruguay is not correct in calling her Grammostola iheringi, and not correct to call G. pulchra ''north mollicoma''.
Anyway, what you have is what these days we are calling in the hobby Grammostola grossa.

regards,

Pato.

It is not a curly hair .. G.grossa 100%

You can also see a difference ..

hairs ..

grossa : down
albopilosum : up

And that 'butterfly' on abdomen . Brachypelma dont' have that .

I think it's G. grossa too, but it looks like B. albopilosum a lot, except that butterfly on abdomen, setae -"orientation"- and carapace looks different than albopilosum's.
She is a beaut never the less. :D Good luck with your lil' lady.

Bye, Atrax

Well to make it short (I have to go out), about G. iheringi, because what they call G. iheringi has nothing to do with the (Keyserling, 1891) original paper (Eurypelma iheringii) from Brazil. To me the one they call iheringi looks exactly like the hobby Grammostola grossa (endemic from Uruguay). About, G. mollicoma ''north'', well that is a G. pulchra! They say it's the same than the G. mollicoma ''south'' because they can mate with each other and they have very similar somatic and genital characteristics, which actually happens with many Grammostola species...
I have both from the north and south and they are very different tarantulas. Grammostola pulchra and Grammostola ''alticeps'' mollicoma.

Best regards,

Pato.

Hello,

The spider sold to me like G.mollicoma, definitively it is not B.albopilosa.
......but I think that is the real G.iheringi,no mollicoma,grossa.....:)
