ID Please. Widow?

Ok, I'm a tarantula guy, not a true spider type, but I live in SoCal so there seems to be a lot of Widows around here. I found this one in my pantry tonight, just thought I'd throw it up on here to see if you guys could tell me what kind it is and if it's worth keeping. Thanks.

I am a "T guy" too, so I have no clue what it could be.... Either way, you should keep it. It looks pretty cool.

I agree that it is a Steatoda sp.

Not totally sold on the S. grossa ID as there are a couple species in SoCal.

yep. steatoda for sure :D. grossa? i don't know for sure. maybe, but like What said, there are a few in cali... actually come to look at it again, i'm not sure of the range of borealis, but it looks kinda like a few borealis i have...
