Beautiful Calisoga, this is a mature male. They are a type of trapdoor, and belong to the same infraorder as tarantulas

Figures. Takes an Oz expert to ID a Calif fuzzbucket.

@RezonantVoid Reminds me of a raging debate elsewhere of trying to ID an imported snake from a blurry photo. My cuz up in Daintree, herpitologist, did some thinking and chimed in it was probably a Boomslang.

I actually had a female of this species. She lit up like a silver nickel with flash photos!! I would have known probably if there had been a flash on that pic. Thanks guys!!! You are all the best for helping me!! <3 …this was her:

Subjective. Nephila, the glamour girls. Lynx, olympic sprinters. Lyco's the night patrol - Navy SEALS, sparassids, ATVs. mini orb weavers, beautiful bird poop....
