Ya i think its beautiful too!

The pics were taken on a moutain/hill top, Morgan Hills. We hiked up(no trail) all the way to the top. It was pretty difficult but me and my friends pulled through. We are going again this weekend.

Still no one knows the ID of that jumping spider?

I think I would have lost it if I stumbled across that tree. I wish you could unsee a movie.

Nice pics by the way!

Dead stuff pics always seem to make their way into my field trip pics... I've got alot of files with the words "gross dead possum" in the title:)

You got to tell me where you are, to tell you what to look for! (Western U.S. Idaho, whatever). Country like that is great for Inverts!

(don't know where milpitas is)
Pretty much the only place u will find T's, or scorps is in desert areas. Are you in Southern California? You can look for stuff in moist caves, cause u might even find a Vinegaroon. but won't find T's, or scorps unless u go to desert areas. If you are in northern california, look on slopes for the little mounds of Turrets Spiders, in forests. If in Southern Calfornia, you can TRY and look for Trapdoor spiders!

If there are desert areas around there, yes, you can find some. Really only Aphonopelma spp. There are scorpions though I know, in desert areas.
