This game has no end as I dont know what they are and dont thing I'll ever know. Thought it would be fun to see what crazy quesses people have. If anybody has any reasonable guess of the genus please say why. I'll keep my opinion to myself.

any chance on having a size reference?
First one does look like a Grammy.
Second one...no clue...legs seem too skinny to guess Grammy again.

...let me try.

the first has a shiny spot on the abdomen, maybe Grammostola spp. but i´m not sure.

the second has the typical (longer) shape of the abdomen, some long reddish hair´s on legs and abdomen and the reddish spinnerts that i know from Stichoplastoris sp. from Costa Rica.

My turn...

First one does look like a Grammostola sp., but my first thought was Lasiodorides sp.

The second one reminds of a couple of spiders that used to go around under the name Crypsidromus sp., purely because of the triangle on the carapace, but I would bow to Erics knowledge on this one.

Hey everyone,

1º Spider: (post spermathecae pics when you can :) )
mmm, tough one Tom. Not leggy enough to be Phormictopus, not Grammostola prosoma although that urticating patch is deceiving..., definitely not Thrixopelma... bulkier than Thrixo...

I'd say Acanthoscurria... but that patch and iridescence...hehe...

Citharacanthus sp.?

2º Spider:

some kind of dwarf tarantula ;P

Cheers,
Pato

Nice, Thats what I was thinking as well. Although it was sold to me as Aphonopelma crinirifum, its certinatly not the same blue fang spider I reacently bred. Spider 1 is the the one that really had me stumped though.

I knew Thrixopelma puriens would come up in this thread, but I agree this spider is way to stocky to be Thrixopelma

Hey Pato, your guess of Acanthoscurria is an interesting one...the importer I bought it from called it a " Acanthoscurria sp. "with a mirror patch" " haha. Sadley thats all the info I have on it

The first one looks very Grammostola to me.Any info on where it came from or what size this spider is?

Thats a interesting guess too. I never considered Grammostola , but it sure acts like one. Grows slow and is kind of boring :)

they look like lampropelma to me
{D
Haha , Nice Sean, those were the kind of internet guess'es I was really looking for. I wasnt expecting everyone to get all serious with good repleys {D
