So, I originally thought I had phrynus marginemaculatas, but the banding on its abdomen doesn't match with any other pictures online (whether it is the Dominican republic phenotype/ locality or Florida keys) Can anyone guess its ID or confirm that its not Phrynus marginemaculata.

Def does not look like Marginamaculatus to me.

Paraphrynus Cubensis is native to similar areas and fits the bill, give it a google.

HI,
the pattern on the abdomen does not mather.
It has 1 short spine between the two longest on the pedipalp petalla, thus a member of Phrynus. Correct me if I see it wrong...
I can't say via pictures what it is, but look definetely not like any marginemaculatus forms I have seen.

Thanks a lot! Do you think the only way to confirm the species is through genetic/ molecular methods?

No, a simple morpholigcal assessment on the dead preserved specimen is most likely enough
