TY....its a 10gal setup, pictures might make it seem larger than it is and or bc the smithi is only about 2inches.aaronrefalo said:nice smithi...it seems that the vivarium is a quite large..

Yes it does come down to practice. Its hard to get a decent pic when the flash glares off the glass. I tried without flash but it was a bit too dark at the time. I figure next time i handle my T ill have someone else take a few pics without flash and in a more lighted room. Those first two pics are from 15minutes of actually having the camera but i was excited to post pics. I dont take any offense, your advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your comments about my T and as soon as i get some clearer pics ill post them :razz:Becky Wheeler said:Hi Icarus, I'll tell you a little secret about taking pictures of Tarantulas, All of my pics use to come out blurry! But if you stand away and zoom in on your T and wait til the cam tells you your focused, take the picture and your find they come out a lot better. I can even take pics of s'lings now which i could'nt before, it all comes down to practice.
Please don't take offense i just want to help you out mate. I love your T btw, It's beautiful!. Good luck with your pics and keep sending them in!

I may just have to try standing far away from the tank and zooming in. I havent had time to take pics lately but maybe this weekend ill get some time, maybe even have time to take my smithi out for a little bit and get pics. You camera is similar to mine than, ive got a sony cybershot. The old skool film camera i have is the best though, ive got 3 or 4 different lenses and its easier to use since im used to it. I checked your links out and they are very clear and such a pretty smithiBecky Wheeler said:thank you Icarus! I too had the same problem with the flash glare and when i switched the flash off it was too dark.
So what i did was switch the flash back on and stood 2-3 feet away from the Tarantula's tank and then zoomed in and held the button half way down until it told me it was focused and then presto! push the button!. The cam i have is an easyshare kodak camera, very easy and simple to use once you know how it works, as i did'nt read the manual at first! lol.
Check out my threads! i was 2-3 feet away when i took these pics.
