I'm new to very tiny spiders, as I'm usually a big tarantula and widow fan. But of course I couldn't turn down taking a whack at jumper husbandry. We got this little guy as an I4 from our local reptile store a few weeks ago, and he molted into I5 yesterday. I was reading he can move up to a larger container at I6 and I wanted to know if the one pictured is large/suitable enough for him when that time comes.

I am concerned with moving him up to a larger container too fast and affecting his ability to catch his prey. I don't hand feed him as I don't want him to get used to something so unnatural, so it's important for me that I keep his homes suitable for his stages. He's already taking down baby mealworms pretty adeptly, but only because they have nowhere to really hide in his large deli cup.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Isn't he the cutest? He's also crazy smart. The only spider I have ever owned that "learns". Took him one mealworm to figure out he needs to scruff them at the back of the head rather than the middle. He's still a baby too.

Thank you so much for the help, I'll be stoked to move him into it.

If it was mine I would include a bit more fake plant cover around for them to utilize, possibly build a web nest in, and hunt from. It looks a little sparse to me at least. Im sure it will do but if it was mine I'd add some more to it.
