So, I got my mexican red rump tarantula about 2 years back. He is not the type to like always keep moving around much. He has ate well and grow up. But recently since last month, he had stopped eating. Wouldn't move around much. I changed his enclosure to a larger one for him and he wouldn't even walk around on the substrate. Nothing worked. He only seem to be drinking water. His abdomen shrunk due to not eating and I took him to the guy I bought him from and he bit the guy as well. I've never seen him be aggressive or bite someone at all before. Or even show signs of him trying to bite or anything. And he fed my T a super worm and he finally ate after almost a month and a half. Fed him again after a day and he only ate half the worm. But he seems to be curling his legs and still wouldn't move. I don't know what to do.

Sounds like you may have a mature male on your hands or a moult problem, pics would help n in the mean time fill his water dish n leave him alone. T's font like to be held or fussed with n if he is dying you messing with him will only make things worse.

It looks pretty vibrant coloured to me, as if it's not long moulted.
There also doesn't seem to be a hide of any sort.
The abdomen does not look shriveled or anything either, the only way a tarantula looses size in its abdomen is after a moult, severe dehydration or it's injured.

1.5 months is nothing for a Tarantula not to eat don't worry about that.

Yeah, looks fine to me, abdomen a decent size. No need to worry about not eating, some adults can go over a year without food (I've had some do that).

Looks like he is missing a leg, did he have issues with the last molt? Did you get him like this?
Oh yeah, when i brought him to the guy who I bought my T from, he noticed that my T was missing a leg after he bit the guy. So we're not sure when the leg came off 🥲🥲

I just remembered, the guy I brought my T to said that he is very weak and malnourished

In one pic that T looks fine, that doesn’t mean it is fine at all

Your words - cause for concern IMO if it’s not a MM

So maybe the seller was handling the spider, the spider bit him, he flung it across the room and it got injured. Maybe what we are seeing with the movements is from the spiders injury.

Oh no, when my T bit him, he stayed still and removed him slowly with tweezers, trying to move him back so he'll let go
