I need some milk snake help!?

I have a milk snake, for some reason whaen i held her one night i saw a tiny glimpse of a tiny mite greyish in colour, it was pretty fast for its size and then i looked around the snake and i found the mite and ther was only one mite! i took the mite off and i never seen the mites again on her.

The exact same thing happend with my Snow corn and he has'nt got another mite on him iether!

Weird!!!!

I need some explanations!!!
