well i just put in an order for a curly hair, a pink toe, and a green bottle blue...what scares me is now i'll have room on my dresser for a 30 gallon tank and those aboreal millipedes i want  , plus i'll have more than enough room for a scorpion or two, or maybe another T, or possibly a centipede. i know if i have space i won't be able to tell myself no. hopefully i'll be able to get myself to wait for a while at least haha.

Get some shelving units.....

That's the best AND the worst advice Darrin ever gave me. It sure makes it easy to have lots of Ts, but having lots of Ts is alot of work! It's fun though. I have 2 shelving units myself. My husband bought me one for Christmas and he insisted that if we MUST have them, they'd better be nice-looking. My biggest one is a rolling one. It's a really classy silver one with 5 shelves. I'm too short to reach the highest one, so I can't keep spiders on the top. It's normally used for extra unused containers and stuff. The other one is also silver, but doesn't have wheels. It has 4 shelves, and I use all of those. :)

Maybe I'll get a third one one of these days. I like to set up my spiders so I can SEEEEEE them all and not have some blocked from my view because other spiders are in front. ;P

Did you ever think you would have to start collecting shelving units to collect tarantulas?

Shelving units, a must have for T owners.

Mmmm, I am running out of room, all I have now is a bookcase. The funny part is that it has no books, they are stashed in my closet when I am not reading them. Heeeyyyyy, the closet!...........

When I spent my Sunday a couple of weeks ago buying and installing some hanging shelving from the Depot I knew the collection had grown just a wee bit beyond my initial estimates :)

Fortunately, I don't have the 'so much room I don't know what to do with it' problem. As soon as I unstacked the kritter keepers and uncramped the sling vials and jars everything was mostly filled again.

I have 3 different kinds of shelvings in my Spider room. I have a old fashioned sewing machine table with a board and cloth on top for my 20gal long tank, a baker's rack for my 2 10 gal, a kritter keeper and a 5 gal, and I finally broke last week and bought another 4 shelf unit for all my my slings. For now they all work, but once the slings start to grow....

I've got an old 27" TV cabinet with a couple of shelvesf, that I will be converting to a temp/humidity controlled enclosure for powerfeeding etc...I would like something bigger, but living in an apt limits the room for expansion.

With all this talk about shelfs I thought I'd show you all my set up. I just started using this shelf unit last week. Top shelf is for slings, then it's my millipede tank on the next shelf, emp. scorp and g. rosea in the split tank, and on the bottom shelf is my trap door spider and tank for crickets.

I have three shelving units filling up the entire wall of my room. Each has four floors but the top floor is empty, for now :<

I craftily fashioned one 'shelf' into a chameleon home for my chameleon (obviously) using mesh and perspex as a door.

I'll try for soem pics tomorow

Here's mine. I am going to get like 3 more of them and line one of my walls with shelves so that I can get more tarantulas and scoprions.
