G'day all! So my shipment of 6 baby pedes and 10 inland freshwater crabs arrived today. Thought I'd give you some photos of them. They were all packaged excellently and arrived safely. As soon as I let them go into thir tank they were off like rockets to the water and to the shelter. Have hardly seen them since but managed to snap a few piccies. They're so adorable.

Hope you think they're as cute as I do!! www.thegreenscorpion.com.au is the site I got them from!

Cute, yes.. More cool looking. Neatest crabs I've seen yet!
How are the pedes?

EDIT: Just realized the myriapods post... I need some sleep heh

And here I thought I would have to tell you to keep the saltwater out of your dresser, but they are freshwater!

Those are actually very cute! What a mug on that guy...
Do they have any odor? I remember living in Fla when I was a kid...everything that lived in the water - smelled gross...lol

Yeah they're sweet as! Very nocturnal, and very hard to find during the day. They don't smell bad so far. I'll be putting a little filter into the water end.. but it's proving to be frustrating!

Very nice Crabs, shame its impossible to get that species here, as I would definitly like to keep them.

LMAO, for a minute there on ur 8th and 9th picture, those grass-like decorations (dunno what to call them heh)...i thought they were baby crabs or something! If you scroll through them fast...I dunno thats what I thought until I checked it out.

Its funny cause in Vietnam, those things are plentiful, we would catch them and fry them up and eat them.

I also caught a few and put them in our little pond out in the backyard of our mansion (its my grandfather's).

What do u plan to do with them anyways? Any breeding projects in plan or do u simply just wanna keep them?

I'm currently keeping shrimps and I've kept some crayfish before as well.

Doubt you have them in Vietnam, as as far as I know they are localised to a few outback creeks in Australia. Perhaps you have similair looking crabs? These guys I'm just keeping for fun, but if they breed then I'd be happy with that!

A few more photos. Here Zoidberg and Zoidberg are eating a rolled bran thing and a sultana

Here Zoidberg (one of the small ones) is eating a long piece of shreded coconut

Yeah maybe they're just crabs that look the same as I'm not even sure what species or anything.

If you ever want to start a shrimp collection, I think I can hook you up so holla if you ever want to. You cannot believe how expensive some shrimps are.

This guy tried to sell his SSS Grade CRS (crystal red shrimp) for $1500. JUST ONE!! And they die rather easy too compared to the cherry shrimps that I keep. I dunno if anyone bought it....

Good luck on your crabs!

Don't think you could help me out 'cause I'm in Australia! So you can't send me anything and I can't receive anything (customs)

Crap huh.. :wall: ..I'm so absent minded sometimes...

Maybe I can find some friends of mines there that can help. I shall look around.

Unless they're in Australia selling Australian natives I can't and won't buy haha. I'm not about to break our laws.
