there is a worm like bug i guess u can call
it does anyone know what it is and how do i
get ride of the or do i need to

Yeah it's probaply a dermestid beetle larvae keep it in a seprate container and feed it cat/dog food and take a picture of it when it's an adult beetle and i'll try to id it for you.

I have always thought they were kept together to keep down the little flies.

yes skippy that is it i've been tring to find out what they are

are they harmful to the B.latts can u feed them to
slings or any reptile

they're not harmful, they eat whatever dead stuff is in there so they're actually a good thing:D

i wouldn't try to feed them to anything though:embarrassed:

My B. lateralis colony had a huge infestation of these this year. A few appeared at first and I thought they would be fine. Several months went by and then I had so many that they were crowding and competing with the roaches. Worse yet, the adult beetles were buzzing all over the house, annoying the hell out of my wife and I. I got them under control by cleaning the roach colony of frass once a week to eliminate beetle pupae.

My advice would be to get rid of them fast!

They infest cultures thats how come you might also find them in cricket shipments and other places. They are difficult to get rid of once they become established. They arent purposely put in with crickets you buy or other colonies they just cant get rid of them all or dont bother to try.
