OK.. OK.. I will probably have to take care of how ever many babies they have.. LoL! I guess it wont be so bad.. I will just go build a new enclosure in a few months..

Congrats! how old are the beardies you got?
The guy said they are 3.5 years old..
Also.. very easy to sex a bearded dragon. Here's a link to help you since the pictures will be easier than for me to explain. ;)

Sexing your Bearded Dragons
Thanks for that link Toni.. I actually ran into that site earlier after I cought them playing with each other..

I first off was not expecting to get them this soon.. So i have to get the UV lights & other things they need for their enclosure.. The kid gave me an enclosure for them both together.. Its a 4' long X 2' wide X 17" tall....

The only thing he had in there was a basking/climbing branch, a brick, & a log hide.. He use blue sand mixxed with glow in the dark sand.. He had wire all around the enclosure.. I am surprised the didnt get their eyes caught on the wire that was sticking in the enclosure.. Its all removed now..

The female had the blue sand all in her eye.. It was bad.. I had to clean her eye as soon as I got them home.. I thought it was a cut.. But it was just sand.. She is all cleaned up now..

The male.. He only has one toe on his back right foot.. They said it was chewed off when he was a baby.. I call BS.. I think he got caught in the wire.. But I can be 100% positive..

Anyways.. Here is the male & his enclosure.. This is going to be a temp. enclosure..

Here is the female & her enclosure..

There will be some things added to their enclosures this weekend.. (Branches, UV lights, Ect.. Ect..)
The males basking spot hits 102 degrees...
The females basking spot hit 103 and drops every once in a while.. No lower than 99.8-100 degrees..
They are both 16" head to tail..

Their personality.. Wow.. I never knew a lizard was like that.. When I walk in the room & the look at me & walk over and try getting out... LoL! They are great.. :D

They are great, aren't they? They're like lizard-dogs :p and yeah, 3.5 yrs old they are definitely of breeding age. LOL. I thought you were planning to get babies or juvies for some reason.

She looks like she's going to shed soon.

Blue sand? We actually use filtered play sand for ours and they do quite well. We feed them lots of greens/fruit salads and give them a bath once a week. Our male is about 16 weeks old and is already about 14 inches long from head to tail. Our female is about 14 weeks and is about 12 inches. They sure do grow like weeds!

If you have any questions, let me know. Sounds like you're off to a good start though! You're going to be a great Beardie daddy :)

Well I was wanting to get babies.. But the kid called me about his.. I went to trade him my male BP for these 2..

I wasnt going to trade but he said he was trading his bearded dragons to get his brother a snake for his B-Day.. So.. I decided to go ahead and trade him since the snake was not going to be in his care..

He said they were both females.. But after seeing what I saw.. Doing some research on sexing them.. I discovered they were a *pair*.. I am kinda upset about that.. Only because I wont have time for to take care of the babies..

Well I guess its to late now.. LoL!

Do they need baths weekly? If so.. Does it need to be cool water or like hot or warm water?

Maybe you can find a breeder that will be willing to take them for you if you don't have the time to raise them when and if you can? Just a suggestion.

Well if she ends up having a bunch of fertile eggs.. They will be cared for.. Just not by me.. I mean when/if I have the time I will pitch in & help take care of them..

But the times I cant do anything my mom & sister are more than happy to take care of the critters..

I am not saying we will be keeping all of them.. But while they are in our care they will have what they need to thrive..
When it comes time to part with them I will make sure the person getting them *knows* how to care for them & has the correct setup..

Im not going to let some kid take them just to say he has a dragon as a pet..
I can afford them with no worries.. Well I will be able to once I get everything going good with the new job..

From what I have read I have plenty of time before she lays any eggs..

If it boils down to it.. I will send them to a buddy of mine.. I know he can find good homes for them..

I bathe mine weekly and daily when in shed. warm water is best most of the time they crap while in the water so i try to bathe mine after theyve crapped already.

Sometimes a periodic bathe helps them to go....helps them w/ hydration too.

Yes, it helps them with hydration and helps to keep them from getting impacted. If you go a week and a half instead of a week, don't worry. They'll be fine. You don't have to put them on a strict bathing schedule or anything.

Bathing Beardies

Here's a picture of our beardies in the bath. They need some little barbie beer cans to slide in the holder, don't they? {D

They don't normally hang out on bath toys when we give them a bath. My husband just thought it would be funny.
