Tomorrow I am getting a T. Blondi, I know everybody says that is not a begginer T, but I can not buy any more especies here in Caracas and is really in a good price (and I want it a lot)

Any advice? I all ready know that is very defensive, very big (this is now about 4"), needs humidity, more than 80 F... well all the info that appear in the caresheets. If any of you have aditional information please let me know. I am happy with this acquisition but a little scare because all the terrible things that people says about the goliath :) :(

By the way, the begginer status is probably near over... Two more post and I am in Arachnoknight status ;)

At 4" the T. blondi will need a deep slightly damp substrate and maybe some sort of hide. I wouldn't let the tempture go above 85 degrees, anything higher and I would see it causing problems like dessication. Watch the hairs as they itch something awful, even at a small size. Otherwise I would treat it just like one of your other tarantulas.
