So my female apisto cacatuodies was acting strange and ber colors seemed to be unusually bright so I flipped over a leaf and saw some eggs. Of course I never saw any behavior that looked like breeding so I assumed that they were infertile and began siphoning them out(I always siphon iut unfertilized eggs, I do!mt want any risk of fungus) until I realized that they were moving. Yup, they’d all hatched and were now wigglers. Panicked I gently poured them back in near the mother and she’s frantically scooping them up. Looks like she’s got things under control but now what do I do? I’ve got a snail and 2 other male apistos in there as well but I really din’t want to have to rip through the dense leaf litter to catch them, which would mess up the nest but she’s full on chasing away any nearby males. Heck, she even bit the snail when it got too close. What do I do? The tank is densely packed with leaf litter but I don’t want the fry getting eaten...

I'd leave it be, she'll likely take care of them. You're likely to do more harm than good by trying to remove the males.

Worst case: you try again with breeding them

Congratulations and I hope they pull through

Wish I had better help than that but I never got my apistogrammas to breed successfully

In my other cichlids breeding experience they were very protective of their fry, hopefully your apistos do the same

They have a great attitude for such a small fish but aren’t nearly as interactive as a dovii or amphilophus.
