OK! Well remember the visual upgrade is for you, not the T.
I'm not an expert but I have M. Balfouri and they need a fossorial set up... lots more sub.
Good luck, lovely T

I'm also pretty sure they just need dry sub and a water dish, but I see moisture collecting on the walls.

That's because the coco fibre had just been soaked in water I squeezed as much out as I could before putting it in the tank it's not as wet as it seems. She's fine had her 7 years no issues and I've put more in since I over looked the fact that it wasn't very deep in my haste to set her up which was my bad lol

At least you caught it, but moisture building up on the sides usually means not enough ventilation or too much moisture. Balfouris like to dig, but they also like to web, so coco should be fine since, in my experience, heavy webbing tarantulas end up reinforcing it anyway. You may consider switching to a sturdier sub tho, that can hold burrows better.

The moisture is no problem, just let the tank dry out (after adding much more substrate!), refill the water two times a week and it will work!
Balfouris like clay.
