Hallo,

Not bad! I would've used another music though, more decorations, and more close ups shots. But it wasn't bad to watch:cool:

Thanks guys, his happy dance was great :D i forgot to use my tripod and it would have been tricky to used because that tanks on the floor.

Nice dancing of the spider. It is Holconia immanis I suppose? I see all my Holconia's turning around like the one in the video after feeding. Is there a reason why they do it?

i think he just want it to be glued/webbed on the board?

Yep, i think he was just putting a bit of web around it :) also i came up with the theory that when it spins the roach the venom moves around inside faster?

Nice. I would have "painted the picture" a bit more and had it stalk the roach instead of putting it in front of her.

Is it possible that the happy dance is it checking around for predators? It is a bit susceptable/vulnerable to a predator while making a kill.

i've always assumed a large part of the happy dance had to do with containing a liquifiying body. since tarantulas are partly external digestors i would imagine they would loose a lot of a prey item if they didn't kind of wrap it a bit.

Just checked the location...not olios.

As for the happy dance, They do lose a bit when they eat, I've seen some of my bugs drop food by accident. Since they don't need a whole lot of food anyways, it probably doesn't matter. Most of the time, they just pick it back up.

I don't think it's looking for predators, because they spin silk while they do it.

Maybe it's more of a table mat sort of thing, protecting them against parasites in the soil?

Probably just webbing up the prey like any other spider. That is my guess :).
