If you don’t want to shell out on an exo terra you can use a tall, narrow plastic storage box (sterilite or others) with holes punched in the sides.the species im talking about it the P.irminia or the A.minatrix im buying one of theys species and would want some care notes
Would this be your first arboreal? What else are you keeping? (Psalmopoeus irminia can be pretty defensive.)the species im talking about it the P.irminia or the A.minatrix im buying one of theys species and would want some care notes
Guides for Specific Genera or Species: Beginners
- Husbandry Videos (by Tomoran): Videos that focus on the care of particular genera or species (not all of these are beginner-friendly).
- Avicularia and Caribena (by Venom1080): These are the most beginner-friendly arboreal species, commonly sold as pinktoe tarantulas. These species are less tolerant of newbie mistakes, so we recommend getting feedback on your enclosure beforehand.
- Avicularia and Caribena (by viper69): More helpful advice. See above.
Guides for Specific Genera or Species: Intermediate and Advanced
We don't recommend any of these species for new keepers, but we are listing all care guides in this thread for the convenience of more experienced members.
- Psalmopoeus irminia (by Storm76): defensive (and often reclusive) New World arboreals -- much of this advice applies to all Psalmopoeus

Are you talking about slings or adults? Keep them in well ventilated enclosures and keep them on the dry side, exept very small slings that you keep slightly moist. Decorate the enclisures with corkbark tubes or slabs and maybe some plants, live or plastic so they have lits of clutter for spinning and constructing their webbs.the species im talking about it the P.irminia or the A.minatrix im buying one of theys species and would want some care notes
