You could try lining bricks to try and stop him from digging, or put 2 rows of chicken wire up instead of just one.

If he is digging he is probably very bored during the day possibly (huskeys are working dogs along with labs), they need alot of stimulus, excersise, and playtime! take him for more (or longer) walks and play with him more, give treat toys that give hours of enjoyment (ex. kong toys), instead of digging focus his behavior to playing. He is a big dog i'm sure so get big toys he cant destroy!

For any more questions you can PM or reply here.

how old is the dog? i find puppies dig more than older dogs (at least with boxers). if hes digging around the fence line try cinderblocks. the chicken wire if done correctly should word. or putting heavy bricks or rocks in the hole where hes digging. he may continue to dig for awhile. results dont happen overnight.

I've read that with husky's, the digging is such a ingrained trait in the breed, that you can't get rid of it. (I know you've got a mix, but there's some things you can try, I guess).

The book I read suggested that you either give a husky a placve where they can dig all they want, or take them to a place where it's not a big deal if they dig (like the beach or something).

I can't think of any other ideas that haven't already been mentioned.

Working breeds tend to be diggers. It seems to stem from bordom also. Stimulate. I've got an american bulldog with a high work drive. Left to bordom she is a nuisence. Stimulated, she is very happy.
If your dog is digging the same hole(s) try this. Put cheyenne pepper in the hole. When is continues to dig it will be very annoyed by this. It may help to enforce other training you might be doing.
