Are you 100% sure these are both Habronattus americanus and they are both adults? And I mean 100% sure?

Ok so for the female yes and the male maybe one molt but 50/50 I don’t wanna risk the males life if she’s already bred

Are you sure they are Habronattus americanus though.
If you provide photos of the male I might be able to tell you his maturity.

I’ve heard that Habronattus females always eat the male after mating unless they can escape in time. I’m not sure how true that is though.

I've only paired Habronattus coecatus, very timid, let them do their thing because they freak out with anyone around, they just seem to behave normally and uninterested until suddenly the male starts dancing.

Yes 100% sure they are Habronattus Americanus I don’t know if she’s mated yet but I found them in the same area Clove 1 week before though and the male was surrounded by 2-3 females so today I might try to get one of those females and pair soon if he is a adult I’ll get photos in like 5 mins also sorry I completely ignored the other question in the first reply I was watching the lil dude 😅
