I got a pair of Bearded Dragons who eats mealies and roaches, but now addicted to crickets and wont eat anything else anymore. How to make them eat other foods? They seem to be addicted to crix ...

THANKS!

First of all - what age are they?

Younger dragons are notoriously picky.

Do they eat their greens?

If they are still little I'd stay off the mealies until later. It's fine for adults.
Encouraging them is difficult, but if they are hungry enough they will accept it, keep offering and if he's interested he'll come round. Crickets aren't a bad staple. Most dragon owners will claim hatred of the little beasts but my dragon is the biggest healthiest little fella you've ever seen and he's been raised almost entirely on crickets!

well I advise just give it time, if they are not showing any health problems then don't worry. They will hopefully come round. Keep offering and see what happens. After eating locusts Sephiq will not eat crickets for a few days. If you feed most dragons too many waxies they will do the same. It's just a matter of taste. Locusts are very good food for subadult to adult dragons. Seph goes nuts for them. Still eats his greens too!

When mine was 6 month it was like that too. Once he was a year old he slowed down on the crickets and eat more veggies. Now at a year and a half he will only eat meaty item that I hand feed to him(which is really a pain).
