hey so I nursed a jumping spider back to health about 2 months ago and was wondering how to feed it mealworms. It’s made a nice web home up in the corner and since I have nothing except for mealworms I don’t know exactly how to feed it would it be able to find it dead if I crush its head or what also it’s quite cold here right now so theres no outside crickets or flies that I could try

What has it been eating the last two months?
Small prey items like pinhead crickets, roach nymphs and fruit flies are readily available online and in some shops. There's your best bet.
Otherwise, you could take the scissors to a mealy and see if it will scavenge... or just release it.

it ate.. nothing also it’s an adult so I don’t know if ponheads and fruit flies are big enough but the thing is we can’t really go to pet stores right now but I’ll try the mealworm thing

Jumping spiders can be really full of shit when it comes to food. My adult male refuses to eat anything but flying insects. I'm pretty sure he'd starve out of spite if I started feeding other things again. It also makes sense. They're arboreal, so most of their meals are going to be flying insects.

If you can get your hands on any, you can try feeding moths or bottle flies.

Just found a way to feed it full size mealworms so I took it out and then cupped it with a deli cup put a full size mealworm and not even 2 minutes in it took it!

Oh yeah, that's also a great way to feed them when they're older and start struggling to hunt.
