I have a female leopard gecko which turned 2 a few months ago, she's a healthy weight and scarfes down 1-2 superworms everyday or two. I would like to breed her at least once however I'm not sure when I'll have the chance. So how old is too old for a female leopard gecko?

2 years? That's not old at all. I had females lay eggs that hatched into healthy neonates this season, and a few were 5+ years old. The older ones actually did better than the younger, first time breeders.

Your leo sounds quite young. Many breeders can get females producing into their 6th and 7th years. What matters most at this point is her weight. She should at the very least weigh between 45-50 grams, but more is recommended. If this is going to be your first season starting in the next cycle, then she won't lay many clutches. But after year one, she'll start doing better.

I recommend you read a lot and maybe head over to the gecko forums . net for advice. Those folks really know what they're doing there. : )
