I read a lot of different advice on how often to feed jumping spiders and I‘m a little confused. What is best?
At the moment I have an adult female sitting on eggs. I offered her food every day while she was making her sack and while she was making her nest on top of the sack since that would require a lot of energy
She is pretty much done with the nest now and is mainly just chilling on the eggs. Yesterday she wasn‘t too interested in food, but ended up taking it anyway so I guess I‘m giving her a break from eating today
In general:
How often do you feed jumpers and how much prey do you offer on feeding days?
I have heard people saying anything from once a week and others saying that they feed as often as the spider will take prey (which could be every day in my case).
I know I can look at her abdomen to see if she is hungry but at the moment it is difficult since she spend all of the time in her nest with her eggs
