i guess this is pretty hard to quantify...
so perhaps if any of you have ever accidentally suffocated a scorp, could you briefly share how it happened? (too few air holes, containers stacked too closely, etc...)

thanks!

They don't need much at all, it almost only depends on how humid you want to keep them.

I'd guess it's pretty hard to suffocate a scorp, but ofcourse I've never tried. I'd say it's easier to have them succumb to mould and mites than to suffocation and the two first problems arise pretty quickly if your unlucky when not providing enough ventilation.

I don't give my Liocheles australasiae any ventilation (the guy I got them off told me not too) but I regularly open the tub to look at them because they look cool :p

Has anyone else heard about a scorpion surviving in a tupperware box for 13 months?

i've never put it to the test... but if the scorp in question was healthy and well fed prior to the incarceration, and the temperature was lowered to a "winter cooling" level, it doesn't sound *TOTALLY* unreasonable!
