I left a sandwich container with moist coco fiber substrate in my colony of crickets for about 6 days with the ambient temp being around 80F. I then placed the egg container into a seperate rubbermaid bin with a lid lightly covering it and the temp of the substrate kept at 87-90F (they're in the garage so temp changes throughout the day even with the heating pad under it). I've read people say that the eggs take 3 weeks to hatch and some say that they can take as little as 1 week from the time they are laid.
I would really like to know when I can expect the eggs to start hatching if kept at 87-90F from the time I took the container out after 6 days of being in the main colony. I have noticed many of the visible eggs laid against the side of the container growing in size and getting more opaque in color and this is 3 days after removing them from the main colony.
