How Long is a Sperm Web Good For?

My mature male curly hair has created a few sperm webs, the most recent being today. I want to pair him with my mature female, but I know it's best to give her a good meal beforehand to decrease the chance of her eating him.

My question is, once the male has made the sperm web and done his business with it, how long is it viable? Would I need to attempt breeding immediately, within 24hrs, 72hrs, etc?

Thank you in advance for any information.

Males roam looking for mates and will recharge when needed. Next recharge could be several weeks or so.

As far as I know, they recharge as necessary, so all you need to do is to keep track whether or not a freshly molted male has made a sperm web. The sperm itself is viable for a very long time so focus on conditioning the female for as long as you need. Good luck with the pairing! :D

There's no rush to pair your male, who will be good for months, though it's certainly preferable to pair mature males before they get too old and weak. He'll destroy this sperm web, probably eating it to recoup the spent nutrients. He will make make new sperm webs whenever he needs to recharge; don't worry about that at all.
