Just keep them as you found them, That's what I do with anything I take in from the wild.

Please learn how to basically spell. Your free forum is very bad with the spelling. By the word "bumb" you mean "bump", etc.

As for keeping spruce beetles they will only die incaptivity. I would recommend that you leave them where you found them so they make more.

What species do you mean under spruce beetles? I've searched for them and found both bark and longhorn beetles...
