well i dont know anyone that would just give u parasitic mites but there are helper mites available online through companies. i do know that mites can be as easily obtained as going to your LPS and exchanging hand shakes with someone who has a mite problem at their home. but then you probably dont want those mites just free roaming your place, quite problematic im assuming.

good luck in your search

Step 1. Think Realistically

Step 2. Think of a new science fair project.

I found that on Google

kill something, leave it in a warm, humid box with VERY little ventilation and mites should appear.

mites feed on flesh/blood, a peice of oatmeal won't do anything except go mouldy. kill a insect, cricket, cockroach, whatever and leave it in the conditions I described above, and you will get mites.

Your first year doing science fair I assume??

Man science fair SUCKS (at least in my opinion it was a real pain to do). I just got done doing my last science fair ever, next year I graduate

If the mite thing does not work out, you can alway talk to your teacher and find another project. Teachers usually always will let you change your project

Perhaps you can think of something to do with the dermestids

you mean dermestids? they are a bug collector's worst nightmare, unless they're dead.

Lol having a partner in science fair is an advantage I always had to work by myself

Lol HOW did the larvae escape! They are slow and can't even climb well
