How do I take green bottle flies out of a container without them escaping? I don't want to put them in the fridge along with my food, so is there any other way? Thanks.
Hi everyone I guess you all know Vonwirth or at least heard his name when talking about Cyriopagopus vonwirthi I just found a post of him explaining how he deals with important problems with Ts. Here is the link: https://m.facebook.com/media/set?vanity=von.wirth.3&set=a.1494822800679898 I...
Sorry I haven't replied in a while... I'm going to feed them to my Phidippus Regius. I have about 50 crammed in a small deli cup (not my fault.) I got them from Josh's Frogs.
The way that I wrangle my fruit flies is that have a straw stuck into the lid, that way I can shake them out to feed my slings and then plug it with a ball of cotton when I'm done. Maybe something similar could be rigged?
So I used to do a combination of things for when I had manitds......fridge really does help but my partner said 'hell no' so there went that.
I used a 32oz deli cup and then put a pop sock over the open end (ask Mrs permission 1st, I learned the hard way ).
I secured the pop sock round the top of the deli cup with an elastic band (I used a hairband....again should have asked permission first).
Cut the toes out the other end and clip it closed.
When I needed a couple I'd just unclip the end, tongs through the opening and grab a couple.
