i have a ten gallon tank and i was wanting to know how active they are... how many do you think would be fine for a ten gallon tank? i was thinking i could probably have at least two, but would three be too many?

They're only active at night. I find mine (8) moving around, eating (as usual!), but they're slow so they don't move too much.

IMO, 3 would be the maximum.. 2 would be better than 3. You could buy a rubbermaid, which has more floor space and is cheaper than a tank.

Right now I have seven AGBs in a rubbermaid box, and they act like a garbage disposal. I put in some veggies, leaves etc., and then in the morning, there is absolutely no evidence of it. I hope that with seven I will have some chances of millipedelings. :)

They arent a species of millipede you could watch all day. You could watch them MAX 30 minutes a day. They arent a species you would put in an aquarium. Id reccomend putting them in a rubbermaid, and stacking a few cages on top of it. Then fill it with peat as usual, and but 6-8 millipedes for it from some cheap vendor or online store. I got all of mine at $5 each.
